The original Eterna Mid-Size binocular has always been one of Brunton's most popular models, but the company--never one to rest on its laurels--decided that great wasn't good enough. Thus, the Mid-Size underwent a complete redesign to improve its already formidable collection of features. Among the new options are a multi-step eye relief system that allows for comfortable viewing even while wearing eyeglasses, and state-of-the-art phase and multi-coatings that give the Mid-Size a leg up on reflective sunlight. The coatings also help sharpen edges and protect colors, giving users a crisp resolution when peering through the 32mm objective lenses. Add in a sleek new ergonomic body armor that's been reworked to enhance the appeal for a new generation of Brunton users and you have an ideal binocular for folks who don't need a super-powerful optic but do value high-quality results.
Specifications range from 10x power that delivers a 315-foot field of view at 1,000 yards to a 15mm long eye relief to a 3.2mm exit pupil. The focus system, meanwhile, sharpens images as close as 4 feet. Additional features include high-quality BaK-4 prism glass (made from a higher quality glass that helps produce brighter images and high edge-to-edge sharpness), tripod and monopod compatibility, and a waterproof and fog-proof housing. All this in a lightweight, easy-to-wield body that weighs a mere 25 ounces. The Eterna Mid-Size binocular measures 5.4 by 4.8 by 2 inches (WxHxD) and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Tech Talk Exit Pupil--Refers to the size of the circle of light visible at the eyepiece of a binocular. The larger the exit pupil, the brighter the image. To determine the size, divide the objective lens diameter by the power (an 8x32 model has an exit pupil of 4mm).
Eye Relief--The distance a binocular can be held away from the eye and still present the full field-of-view. Extended or long eye relief reduces eyestrain and is ideal for eyeglass wearers.
Field-of-View (F.O.V.)--The side-to-side measurement of the circular viewing field or subject area, defined by the width in feet or meters of the area visible at 1000 yards or meters. A wide-angle binocular features a wide field-of-view and is better for following action. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the field-of-view.
