I bought this tv as a gift for my two granddaughters for Christmas. Thank goodness I always test things that I order before I give them as gifts. I took it out of the box and was surprised to see how small it was. It looked more like a computer monitor than a tv. I didn't mind that so much as it was going to go in their play room and didn't need to be super big. I attached the base which was pretty flimsy. I then attached my antenna and plugged the set in. I pushed power and the red button turned green...and that's all. I tried pushing all of the buttons on the remote and on the tv. Nothing happened. I thought maybe it wasn't getting enough juice so I moved it to another plug. Once again the same thing happened...nothing! Getting very frustrated, I went to the booklet for troubleshooting help. There was no help available so I called the company number listed in the book. I got someone with a very thick accent who told me to turn it off and on several times. Then he told me to try another outlet. I informed him that I had done that already and at that point he gave up and told me to contact Amazon to get it repaired. Now I knew Amazon wasn't going to repair anything. Amazon put me in touch with the seller. I had to e-mail the seller and wait for approval to return the defective product. This is where I am at this point. Just wanted to let you know that this product stinks.November 6th, 2011I received an e-mail from the company that sold the tv through Amazon. The company, Ace Photo Digital, is allowing me to return their defective product. However they only sent me an address to send it to, no shipping label. Even though it's their defective product, I have to pay to have it shipped back to them. I think Amazon should think long and hard about representing this company or allowing them to sell through their website. As far as I'm concerned this is a black eye on Amazon's customer service as well. The only reason I bought anything from this company was because it was on Amazon's website and I trusted Amazon. I'm not sure I can say that anymore. Anyway just so you know, Ace Photo Digital's customer service is as bad as their products.
