The card doesn't come with Mac drivers and I contacted support to see if they had a solution. The support team was very responsive and provided me with a third party driver. I think this is the core of the issue. Once the driver was installed, everything seemed to work fine, until the Mac Pro got its first few kernel panics ever. I thought a couple of them were flukes until I deduced that it only happened when a connected hard drive needed to spin up or be mounted/dismounted. I'm sure the card works perfectly for PCs but I can't recommend it if it can potentially damage my Mac. I am giving it 3 stars since support was responsive, but I am returning the product and restarting the search for a working solution.
