My home workstation is positioned against the wall of our second floor landing. As such, anyone can see my computer screen when they pass by. I purchased this privacy filter and it does work as described; however, I would not call what this screen provides as "private." If someone behind you looks at the computer and is outside of 30º on either side of the monitor, all screen images are grayed or distorted enough that they will not be able to "see" what is on your computer. If someone is looking at your computer and within 30º of either side, they can see everything on your monitor.In addition, this "privacy" screen comes with a small packet of two ~.5"x2" and eight ~.5x1" tabs that have adhesive down the length, half way up the tab. The adhesive part sticks to your computer monitor and then you slip the screen down through the non-adhesive part of the tab to keep it in place. If the adhesive is compromised it will lose its stick and then the screen starts slipping. I could not find any seller who just sold these adhesive tabs, thus when they failed, I was left with an expensive privacy screen that barely afforded me privacy and didn't stay on my monitor more than 2-3 weeks. I returned it and have yet to find any suitable replacement.
