Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and CriticismI wanted to go for smaller speakers to replace my JBL Northridge 5.1 set, but not loose on the sound quality that huge box gives. Most of all I was not ready to shelve out the money to buy a high-end set. I initially went in the shop for a BOSE ACOUSTIMASS 15 home cinema speaker system. I always liked the size (small), and the overall reputation Bose has. The same shop was also selling Harman Kardon HKTS60 5.1 set and had a good opportunity to listen to both of them next to each other. The shop demo room was very spacious, just like my living room, so comparison was really possible. Long story short, I found the Harmon Kardon HKTS60 overachieving in the following 3 areas:1/ The bass. Its impressive; the sub-woofer is smaller than the Bose, looks better with its gloss finish, and sounds terrific; especially for movies you won't be sorry. For Music, blues is my favorite, BB King came out just I would expect! 2/ The center speaker is much more crisp than the Bose, without the pain-full hissing. 3/ The HKTS60 can go loud... so loud that even in a big room you will have ample reserves left to fill it with high quality sound. Definitely with a large room, the HK is a far better choice over the Bose, who is suited smaller rooms only. So, last month I walked out with the HKTS60 and enjoy every minute of this quality product. Highly recommended!
