Styled after the classic leather camera case but made with the advantages of neoprene, the Universal SLR Camera Case is extremely flexible and fits a wide range of lens lengths and camera bodies. The case bottom attaches to the camera body by running a camera strap (not included) through keeper loops sewn into the case interior. The top fastens to the bottom with dual thumb release clips; swings out of the way quickly for shooting, or it can be removed completely. This system enables quick changing of film and is very easy to use. Velcro tabs allow adjustment to fit different lens/body combinations. Large Universal "Eveready-Style" SLR Camera Case fits autofocus SLR cameras with a lens up to 4.5 inches (115mm) long. Weight: 6 oz.
Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism I wish Zing provided more pictures for each of their products. This case has two parts: the main case and the bottom that stays attached to the camera. The bottom attaches to the camera by stringing your strap through a loop on either side then (re)attaching your strap to the camera's metal loops. The main case comes off and hangs by two plastic latches, but the main case can be detached. The velcro patch that closes the whole thing is a quite large rectangle. The problem: the bottom, when attached to my Canon XSi/450D, covers half of the LCD and most of the "D-pad" control buttons. This leads me to believe that this camera case was designed for a camera without rear-panel screens or controls -- possibly a film SLR? I doubt that this case would be any better on any other make/model of entry-level DSLR. If you remove the bottom and attempt to use the main cover without it, then the case does not cover the camera completely. Much of the back of the camera is exposed. Three stars for quality is generous. This product will be returned immediately. (I have the Zing 501-101 SBK1 Standard SLR Cover (Black), which works fine but just looks funny.)
