I bought this for our Controller to use so people can't just casually walk into the office and see sensitive data on the LCD. You can go onto the 3M website and look up your display model to see which filter fits your display. This one fit our particular display perfectly. Looking staight on and at slight angles from the front, the picture is clear. Looking at the screen from side angles, the screen looks black - visitors can't see a thing. When using the filter, even the reflected image in a window directly behind the screen is blank whereas without the filter, the reflected image is completely readable. These filters are awesome at safe guarding sensitive information on a computer screen. The flatter against the LCD you can get the filter the better for a very clear picture. There is a slight decrease in brightness, but it is really the filter cutting out the harsh ambient light from the display screen, the image will remain clear. You want the filter to fit right on the screen, not outside on the housing. I highly recommend the 3M filters for privacy.
