I purchased this item based on the glowing review it received at iLounge.com, and Amazon had a great price and shipped it to me fast. I really wanted to like the case, and it does have some positives design elements. I'll start with the positives: 1. Good value - you get a screen protector, good back and side protection, and a nicely integrated stand. 2. The stand is designed to be flush with the back of the case, which is an elegant solution compared with many other cases. It is also quite useful for viewing video or for using with an external keyboard. 3. The cutouts and button covers were all properly positioned, and the case does seem protective. 4. The rubberized matte finish feels nice, but the rubber does attract dust and the plastic part shows finger prints and smudges easily (a negative) Two things put me off this case, despite my desire to really like it. 1. the rubber is so compliant that it slips off too easily from the ipad. Things could easily get in between the rubber and the ipad because it moves so easily. Granted, this allows for easy installation and removal of the case, but it was a little annoying for me that it moved so easily when being handled. The plastic shell does keep everything in place, but there are places not held by the plastic that are too flexible for my liking. This may not be a problem for others, however, just my preference. 2. I received this case before receiving my ipad 2. When the ipad arrived, I immediately placed it in the case. After playing around with it for an hour, I removed the case and my ipad had 3 small nicks in the aluminum on the back that were not previously there. I bought this case specifically to avoid this type of cosmetic damage, and exactly the opposite had happened. Very frustrating! I'm not sure how it happened, but I assume there was some tiny material stuck in the honeycomb pattern of the interior case that was sufficiently hard to scratch the ipad. I inspected the case when I took it out of the package and didn't see anything, but the ipad went in spotless and came out with chips. If I had my ipad covered with a full body film of some sort, this case might be worth keeping. But as it is now, I'm worried that small debris will make its way in and scratch the ipad. If cosmetic blemishes on your ipad aren't a concern, this case may be worth your time, as it seems fairly protective against small drops and protects the corners well.
