    These old 45 volt radio batteries which I bought at Amazon, now called industrial batteries, still do the job and seem to have a reasonably long life. Mine are used in an electronic gadget where the drain is almost equivalent to 'shelf life'. But they're becoming harder and harder to find, as their price escalates.
